1. Start with Fresh Flowers: The key to long-lasting blooms is to begin with fresh cut flowers. When purchasing flowers, make sure to choose ones that are in full bloom and have firm petals. Our flowers are cut fresh daily, to ensure the longest possible vase life.  

2. Properly Prepare the Stems: Before arranging your flowers, it's important to properly prepare the stems. Remove any leaves that will be submerged in water, as they can promote bacterial growth. Cut the stems at an angle to allow for better water absorption and place them in a clean vase filled with fresh water.

3. Change the Water Regularly: To keep your blooms looking fresh, it's essential to change the water in your vase every two to three days. This helps prevent the build-up of bacteria that can cause your flowers to wilt prematurely. Additionally, make sure to trim the stems each time you change the water.
 

4. Use Flower Food: Flower food packets are a great way to provide your blooms with the nutrients they need to stay fresh. These packets contain a mixture of sugar, acidifiers, and bactericides that help nourish the flowers and prevent bacterial growth. Simply dissolve the packet in water and add it to your vase. 

TIP:  We also have excellent results just stirring in 1 tsp of sugar into fresh clean water, if you do not have any flower food on hand.

5. Keep Them Cool: Flowers thrive in cool environments, so try to keep them away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Display your bouquet in a cool room, away from windows or heating vents. This will help prolong their lifespan and keep them looking vibrant.
